Sustainable development

Lately, as the UN set and announced the sustainable development goals and as the media reported these, many people have begun to pay attention to renewable energy for the future generation. Plus, the research teams have added fresh fuel to the related studies as government has fully reinforced the support policies for the technologies development. However, the solutions for energy problem we have today; solar power, microorganisms, geothermal power, food waste, etc are not used in most countries and homes and it is more severe in developing countries.

So, I started to realize that I should give people the right information about the environment. As I have no difficulties in communicating with foreigners and have a lot of interest in many global social issues and economic problems, I think I should commit myself and contribute in solving environmental problems. As I know, many students from various countries will participate this Global Earth Environment Forum and discuss problems, goals, roles and what the advanced countries and developing countries have to do together to achieve our final goals. I applied for this forum to participate these discussions and draw out solutions together with which we, the world, can move a step forward.

By attending Eco-expo in Korea, I not only came to understand the basic, urgent environmental issues but also felt the responsibility to tell people about the importance of environment conservation and the basic reasons why we should reduce greenhouse gases. So I’m planning to attend this expo with other students who shares same interests in environment with me and open booths as team by ourselves.

What I’m doing and going to do may not be so important, but I think the most important thing at this point is to make people recognize these issues and draw out their attentions and participations. At present, I don’t have professional knowledge but I, who experienced recognition on environmental issues and got mission on them, am dwelling on what we have to do to change people’s recognition. Plus, I’m going to make great achievement in environmental technology R&D which enables efficient usage and provides fundamental solutions.
